The core concept is fantastic and makes the story thought provoking.” 8.5/10 - PSU.com "Gripping character work complements deep combat." 8.4/10 - NZGamer “It's a genuinely satisfying and memorable tactical RPG that I won't soon forget.” 8/10 - Destructoid _______________________________________________________ 1075eedd30 Title: Lost DimensionGenre: RPG, StrategyDeveloper:FURYU CorporationPublisher:Ghostlight LTDRelease Date: 30 Oct, 2017 Lost Dimension Mod Download I would say that what I played of the game I do like but during battles for some reason there are dips in frame rate for no reason. I can't recommend this game sadly due to that.. Severely underrated and hidden gem of a game with a good mix of Danganronpa, with the traitor judgement system, and combat quite similar to Valkyria Chronicles. All the combat themes are awesome and catchy too. 8.5/10. I'm not sure why this has so many positive reviews. The writing is quite poor. The characters are just bizarre.Very few of the conversations make any sense (it would seem that the writers of the dialogue are unfamiliar with how 'humans' communicate). There's very little ingame information about how the game works, nor is there any kind of manual (i.e. no explanation of your stats). The game is pretty minimalist in what's on the screen. The controls are very imprecise in combat (it's really difficult to move less than about 0.75m at a time, which is pretty goddamn huge especially when trying to put a character in range of multiple enemies at once). And the camera.......... The camera is basically stuck right behind the shoulder of the character you're in control of, really limiting your field of view. No 'zoom out' options. So yeah, pretty crap game. Disappointing.. Lost Dimension is an excellent turn based RPG originally released on PS3,the game's PC port is very well done allowing for 4K resolution and 60 FPS and running well even on underpowered rigs, the game's graphics have aged very well in part thaks to it's excellent artstyle and the game's soundtrack and voice acting are very good too.The story is pretty typical for the genre but it's well told and the gameplay is very tactical requiring very careful planning, also the character progression system impressive as well, there are a ton of different skills and powers that keep things fresh and interesting throughout the whole game.Overall the game is really solid and highly raccomanded to every fan of RPGs.. A decent strategic rpg/visual novel that's worth picking up on sale. One playthrough takes around 12-15 hours, but you need to play it twice if you want to get the true ending. The main draw of the game is that you have to pick who the traitor is in your team - by first narrowing it down to 3 suspects and then using a limited number of dives into the suspects to find the actual person.. Video review:https://youtu.be/d9gaCxmdhuIShort rundown:Originally released in 2015 (in the west) for PS3 and Vita, this interesting SRPG by Lancarse (Etrian Odyssey, SMT: Strange Journey) somehow got a PC release last October, and I think it's worth bringing some attention to it for it's good mechanical groundwork, even though some of its potential is unused and most people might find its lack of polish and sparse story off-putting and boring. It's a turn-based SRPG with a combat system comparable to Valkyria Chronicles, but instead of the interceptions you get assist attacks, counter attacks, the ability to defer turns from one character to another and a sanity mechanic that can make characters go berserk. On top of the combat layer you have to find randomly-chosen traitors on every floor and manipulate the trust within the group to get them eliminated via an election before going to the next floor (or not... you can continue as long as the protag stays alive). This has a big influence on your party composition and how you use your characters in combat, which is cool. The biggest downsides of the game:- There's not a lot to the story- Production values aren't amazing- Missions and enemies aren't very varied - just barely enough to not get boringOn top of that the PC port is only passable. The M&KB controls are usable, but not great (a controller is highly recommended), there is no true 16:10 support (you get a letterbox) and I did encounter a couple of crashes. The game autosaves pretty frequently, so I never lost more than maybe 10 minutes of progress, but still that isn't great. However, I found these flaws to not detract too much from the very solid and unique groundwork. I still had a lot of fun with this game, even the second time I played it on PC. If you're interested in good mechanical design and can look past the lackluster narrative aspects and lack of polish, it's worth your time, on any system.. I had low expectations going in to this game, but over 40 hours later all that I can say is that I strongly recommend this game. It's a turn based strategy RPG, similar to Massive Chalice, or for more of a better known game, XCOM - And it has a pretty good soundtrack! The story starts off with "We must kill the bad guy", but there are a few twists and turns along the way. As the game description already tells you, there's a traitor among you. It's not too difficult to suss out who the traitor is, but it's still good fun, as is the rest of the game play. For perfectionists and achievement hunters, the game requires you to complete it three times. The second and third clears will not take you half as long as the first. With each clear, more of the story is revealed and more bonuses are given to you at the start of the new game plus (or plus plus)The only downside is the optimisation of the game, playing on a fair high end rig the levels will start with a slight lag fest which clears up after you swing the camera around a bit. I've also suffered from a few crashes (Around 4\/5 in my 40 hours of play time), but the game does auto save (even though there's nothing to say it has or will do it), which has saved me a bit of time when booting the game back up.As I said earlier, I would strongly recommend this game :)
